Giant Midwest Mecca of Nerditude

Wired.com profiles a man after our own hearts here at Big Fun, Kevin Stark of Pauls Valley, OK. Stark is an action figure collector and comic book artist. Has been almost all his life. In 2000, Stark convinced the Pauls Valley City Council that the town needed a tourist attraction and a museum should be it, an action figure museum.
In 2005, when the Action Figure Museum finally opened its doors it became one of largest displays in the world, along with a Batman shrine, a superhero changing room and enough Transformers, G.I. Joes and He-Man figures to fill a grown man’s bedroom in his mom’s basement. The museum may seem a little out of place among Pauls Valley’s other businesses: a gun store, a couple of gas stations, an insurance company or two, but what the heck Stark got his own action figure museum.

December 12th, 2009 at 4:42 AMI researched several cameras before purchasing the SD780IS. There were several features that I was looking for specifically. I wanted a camera that had several shooting modes, ultra-compact, in-camera red-eye fix, in-camera trimming, etc. This camera has all those features. One of the things the I like most about the SD780IS is the special “color” effects. Several cameras give you the ability to change the photo to Black & White or Sepia. This one enables you to change the photo to: Black & White, Sepia, Vivid, Color Accent, Color Swap, Vivid Green, Vivid Blue, Vivid Red, Positive Film, or Creative Light. It even lets you change the skin tone of those in the picture using the Lighter Skin Tone/Darker Skin Tone feature. I have had the SD780IS for a little over a month now and I am loving it. It takes great shots and the features are everything I expected them to be.
